On March 5th, 2026, tHERAPY Recycle & Exorcise presents tHERAPY. 14 Years of Textile Alchemy at Doménica Casa Paseo in Córdoba, Argentina — a retrospective installation celebrating 14 years of textile experimentation, transformation, and resistance through upcycling.

Founded by sisters Angie and Poli Aguirre, tHERAPY has been working exclusively with discarded textiles since 2012, pioneering upcycling not only as a design technique but as an aesthetic, conceptual, and political practice. What others call waste, they recognize as potential.

For over a decade, the project has transformed discarded garments into unique pieces through manual processes, exploring the symbolic, emotional, and political power embedded in clothing while questioning the dominant linear system of production and disposal.

A Practice Between Continents

tHERAPY exists between Europe and Argentina. Angie Aguirre directs the project in Germany, while Poli Aguirre and Andrea Aguirre are founding partners and lead the Córdoba space at Doménica Casa Paseo — the very site where this retrospective unfolds.

The exhibition reveals the universe of experimentation that gave birth to the brand. Its roots are deeply biographical and dual in nature:

• On the maternal side: a lineage of professional immigrant seamstresses — great-grandmother and grandmother — who passed down sewing as survival, craft, and silent resistance.

• On the paternal side: a family pharmacy laboratory, where childhood memories were filled with glass jars, ointments, formulas, and handcrafted remedies.

At this intersection, textile practice becomes alchemical. Discarded matter is transformed into a new substance charged with meaning.

The Installation as Laboratory

The journey begins inside the tHERAPY store at Doménica Casa Paseo, inviting visitors to explore our circular fashion space, divided into two areas:

• VINTAGE & 2ND HAND

• UPCYCLING

Here, recovered garments coexist with our latest creations developed from textile waste.

Conceived as a symbolic laboratory, the installation, in the cave of the gallery, traces the processes of transformation that define tHERAPY from its beginnings until today — through materials, archives, and garments that reconstruct our experimental universe.

Opening Event

The opening will take place on Thursday, March 5th at 6 PM, featuring DJ Nadia Popoff and drinks presented by Matrimonio Bar, located also at the Doménica Gallery.

The installation will remain open until March 14th, 2026.
